Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic person to be our Front of House and server and to oversee our Wine lists and stocking. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Your knowledge of wine and food service will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall dining experience.

Position begins in February.

Duties

  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling practices within the bar area.
  • Maintain inventory of wine and alcohol

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a server within the restaurant or hotel industry.

Cook

Position is Part-Time until February and then it changes to Full-Time 

Pay: $20 - $23/hr

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a cook that has a good solid understanding of cooking and using fresh ingredients. Must have experience in a commercial kitchen making food from raw ingredients. We are only looking to hire a seasoned cook for this position.

This is a part time position until the new year which it will change to a full time position beginning in February.

Job Requirements:

- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a cook that has prepared items from scratch in a commercial kitchen

- Knowledge of farm to table cooking an asset

- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

- Familiar with the industry’s best practices

- Food handling safety (REQUIRED)

- Smart Serve (An Asset)

- Drivers License (An Asset)

Position Description:

- Prepare menu items so that their flavors and preparation is in accordance with the menu breakdowns. This means tasting and understanding the food that you are preparing.

- Complete orders for customers and ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion that is plated and prepared in accordance with the menu and dish specifications

- Set up and stock all stations and maintain necessary prep with fellow cooks

- Detailed cleaning of entire kitchen on a continual basis with fellow cooks so that our kitchen maintains a high quality of cleanliness

- Cook and serve food with fellow cooks at various on site locations when needed.

- Take orders for food and caterings while also answering customer questions when necessary.

Work Environment and Physical responsibilities

- Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in fast paced environment

- Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, bending and reaching

- Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 5lbs – 20lbs with a maximum weight lifted of 50lbs

- Exposure to extreme temperatures from coolers, freezers, ovens, etc.

- Safe and proper handling of sharp equipment

- Will be required to spend most of your time on your feet without breaks for long periods of time.
