Every catering order has the same gap in it. You've sorted the sandwiches, the salads, the mains — and then somebody asks what's for dessert, and everybody looks at you.

This is the answer. 25 bite-sized desserts, chosen by the chef, all made in our bakery. And it's ready with six hours' notice, which means you can decide about it on the day rather than the week before.

What's on it

The selection changes with what's been baked and what's good that week — the chef picks it. But it's built from what comes out of our bakery, and that means things like:

• Mini cupcakes — frosted with a rosette, rotating flavours
• Mini danishes and petits fours — the delicate, one-bite end of the tray
• Brownies and squares — the richer pieces, cut small
• Cheesecake bites and cannoli

Every piece is a single bite. Nothing on this tray needs a fork, a plate or a napkin.

Why it's worth it

• It's the cheapest way to end a meal well. At $2.75 a piece, this is roughly the same per-person cost as a coffee — and it's the thing people remember about the event.
• It's decided for you. Chef's selection means no choosing, no waffling, no 'what if half the table doesn't like lemon'. You get a balanced tray built by someone who knows how the pieces work together.
• Six hours, not three days. This is the shortest lead time we offer on anything baked. Cakes need 72 hours' notice; this needs six.
• It's the easiest thing to add to an order. If you're already picking up sandwiches, salads or a breakfast box, adding a dessert tray is one line item and it makes the whole order look finished.
